About the event
Our hike in the Natural Park Baixa Limia will take us along mountain trails, where the highest peaks reach 1,500 metres. Characteristics of the landscape include bolos (granite stones), needles, trees, dusty paths, and rugged peaks. The Natural Park Baixa Limia - Serra do Xurés begins in Ourense, and as it crosses into Portugal, it becomes the Parque Peneda-Gerés. In this region, you can discover Roman remains, the Limia river, and the A Fecha waterfall, the tallest in Galicia in the rainy season. Orense is famed for its thermal springs, which have been celebrated since Roman times for their healing properties. The perfect way to relax after a hard day on the trails, we'll make time to bathe in the naturally medicinal waters.
Partnering with a local trail riding centre in Lobios, our adventures will take us on horseback through charming agricultural and fishing villages, where we'll encounter traditional structures…
